Drew Saunders is a business and environmental journalist. Saunders is a member of the NLGJA and an alumnus of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. His past work has appeared in Sustainable Views, Inside Climate News, Hour Detroit, the Ann Arbor Observer, Concentrate, the Sun Times News, Current Magazine, the Toledo City Paper, the Long Island Press, and the Monroe News.

His first piece of financial journalism in Sustainable Views investigated how effective the second Trump administration is actually proving to be in its attempts to thwart the American wind power industry. In May 2025, Saunders received the 2024 Class C Environmental Journalism award from the Detroit chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for being the sole reporter of an Hour Detroit story called Detroit Underwater.
